Set up an Instant Message tool incorporated in the software
Set up an instant message tool where salons, managers and staff can communicate efficiently and effectively among each other without taken up a phone line or valuable time! This will allow effective and necessary communication between 1 or more salons and personnel operating from different computers, locations and tablets etc. Have it configured that it notifies a new message has come in with a soft "bing" sound, flashing on the screen and a colour bubble to draw attention. Fast, easy, free, no hassle and information is delivered!

will be handy if phorest open an interaction with WhatsApp. Nowdays is the best and our main source of contact with customers, confirmation and bookings!
It looks like there might be some crossed wires with this idea, originally when this idea was submitted it was about setting up an instant message system so that staff and management could chat and send each other messages and reminders about things going on or to be done in the salon.
Reading through the comments I can see that there’s also some ideas around two way communication with your clients or the ability to set reminders for staff in the appointment screen. I’ve created these as two separate ideas so that we can track them better we’ll keep an eye on them separately.

For this idea, which is around an instant message tool for staff, this isn’t something that Phorest are looking to build and the reason is that to be honest there are so many amazing free tools out there already that do this really well. At Phorest we’re trying to focus on areas that grow your business and give your clients amazing experiences and with that in mind we think we can give you a lot more help if we work on things like digital consultation forms and new marketing tools to get your clients back in. I think been charged for text messages is crazy.
I know this is a way phorest can make more, but honestly all the salon software companies in North America have free reliable text messaging built in.
Come on phorest! It's like going to a great hotel and been charged for wifi. Who charges for wifi these days?! I think this would really be a game changer, I was so close at not joining, if it weren't for your brilliant software and Team!!!
I do know this puts off a lot of potential salons from joining.
This is a must, iMessage is free, massive amount of people got apple and WhatsApp is now used by everyone I know. Pls Phorest !!!! Do this
Other software are now offering this and makes them a lot more appealing as text costs are the only downfall.

We use Slack, works well.
Slack is great, we use this in our team.
We have a therapist called "daily tasks" & add all our to do jobs there & repeat for a year. We also write each other "break" notes to communicate, incl replies.
brilliant idea it has to happen we have two shops and would be so handy to have! if you could send messages from the phone app to shops also

if the phorest go app could send the users text reminder, this could save the users purchasing text message credit and could then use the tariff allowance, this could also work as a way of the clients being able to rely to text messages and the phorest go app users getting a notification of the replies

To be able to add reminders, or diary notes to Staff Members, and they can click read once they have read it.
This could be used for Managers to leave messages for the team, eg targets for the day, or remembering to do a certain something that everyone keeps forgetting about.
This could also be used for team members to leave messages to each other
This is actually a really good idea we have a few different clinic and staff communication between clinic would be brilliant!

When automatic appointment confirmations go out, clients are texting the message back to cancel or confirm. Can you create an incoming text section in phorest so that if they do text us we get it in an email or text message on screen as I am getting lots of bt voicemails with the text replies which is a bit annoying

having used i-salon, we found the ability to leave message was invaluable..please treat this as urgent, I have had the morning from hell without this facility today PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE prioratise, I have spoken to Barry Quinn, he agrees , it would be easy to do...Susie CL2
use methods to send messages via whats app and iMessage if development can make it work, this will reduce sms cost massively

we had this with i-salon, as I run the business remotely, it is really useful leaving a message instead of having to phone when the salon is busy

a memo button on side of screen is very helpful for notes, messages, phone messages ,etc.its on all other salon softwares.
