Add a money counter in cash up to enter quantity of notes/coins
Other software has a built in money counter whereby you just add the quantity of denominations as you count your till. It makes the process easier and quicker at the end of the day. All you do is count the number of notes/ coins and add the quantity
$100 x Total
End total in til.

Definitely a good tool to allow our Front Desk to calculate cash totals quickly and accurately. I would also like to add a function onto the cash up screen with this that it allows them to check cash balances and log it in the cash up screen through the day. When the enter the currency amounts I would like to see it save and carry over between each count through the day.
This is also be offered when putting in your till monies
the calculator in the cash up page should be a counting calculator, where they count how many coins and bills/increments, to get the totals.

We really need a cash drawer coin and bill count to close at the end of the day and in the morning. Any other register that I have worked with has a beginning balance with an actual count you input that you have to match to the closing count. The way we do it now is by writing it in our own paper ledger and it doesn't seem to match the price I pay for Phorest to have to do it this way. Here is an example:
Ex: x amount of pennies, x amount of nickels, x amount of $20
The way it is now we just have to trust that the person closing puts the correct amount counted when there may be errors or discrepancies that could create a problem for the next person opening the next day. I feel like for the price that phorest cost this feature is very basic to running a drawer and scheduling program. I switched from another salon booking software (Vagaro) because this feature was lacking. Millennium also has a feature of an itemized drawer count and I was dissapointed to find Phorest doesnt have this feature.

Absolutely! We were able to do this in SalonBiz and it allows for catching errors. We had to create a spreadsheet to do this for ourselves for now.

A cash calculator would be amazing, we are really missing that from our old software.
Add a calculator to the “cash out” page, to easily add the cash and coins from the drawer. Alleviates errors.

On cash up and open register, have a calculator that you input how many of each bill and coin that is counted into and out, and it calculates the total from that (rather than having to count everything manually and enter and entire total for the register). Example:
4xQuarters = $1
3xDimes = $0.30
Total Entered = $1.30
But have this all together with every option of cash payment and total up at bottom.
It would be nice if Phorest had a data entry style calculator that you could balance the cash drawer to match up with the expected cash.
This is a big concern for US clients. Almost every client asks for this during the cash up process.

Add a cash count button with a list of all monetary values eg. £50 £10 right through to 5p 1p 2p. When the staff then come to cash up they will count each value of coin and note and put the figure next to it. The system will then calculate the total. E.g £10 - 5 = £50, 10p - 5 = 50p.
This should help ensure that all money is accounted for and will hopefully stop the amount of errors and the adding up manually on a piece of paper.
The system then should allow you to print a cash deposit slip, stating the account of each monitory and then this can be used to help with the banking process.

Can you please provide us a currency calculator at EOD where at the end of shift we can feed all the coins and bills and it can tell how much total money we have in our till , right now I am using excel sheet to do this , if you can provide something in EOD window it would be handy and time saver .

When Cashing up put in a denomination of what you have left example... £20 notes = 5 of £10 notes = 10 of £5 notes etc down to silver and coppers with a balance underneath so that my staff can cash up without error lol.
